Kor Bilişim Ltd., established in the last quarter of 2006, is a technology company specializing in open source software. Since the early 2000s, we have provided services to various institutions and organizations in areas such as GNU/Linux, Information Security, Web Technology Development, and Education.
In 2010, our company began serving international firms with its own developed technologies. Our team comprises experts in open source software who believe deeply in the importance of understanding technology at a fundamental level. We emphasize academic knowledge and strive to deliver cutting-edge technologies to our clients while upholding a competitive spirit in all aspects of our work.
Dr. Metin Evrim Ulu
Dr. Metin Evrim Ulu served as the company director from 2006 to 2014. During this period, he spearheaded the development of the Core-Server project, which played a crucial role in driving significant advancements in the evolution of web technologies. This project laid the groundwork for many technologies we use today. From 2014 to 2015, he worked at NTT Data in Tokyo, Japan, further developing the Core-Server technology for various projects.
Upon his return from abroad, Dr. Ulu continued his doctoral studies at METU's Applied Mathematics Institute, focusing on cryptography. His research delved into areas such as PN functions, NPN Functions, Bent Functions, Difference Sets, and Relative Difference Sets. During this time, he encountered algebraic geometry and Gröthendick's work, gaining insights into the nature of numbers.
Following the theoretical invention of quantum computers, Dr. Ulu dedicated his efforts to exploring the resilience of encryption against quantum computing attacks. His doctoral thesis focused on developing an efficient GPU implementation of SwifftX, a quantum-resistant hash function. After successfully completing his doctorate, he collaborated with Prof. Dr. Çetin Kaya Koç on a TÜBİTAK 2232 project, contributing to Turkey's first and only Quantum Computer Simulator project.
Dr. Ulu returned to Kor Bilişim Ltd. after a period in academia and initiated the https://cloud.core.gen.tr project, emphasizing the significance of Turkey's indigenous cloud infrastructure for the future and advocating for local production. While this project operates on a smaller scale compared to large-scale cloud platforms, Dr. Ulu believes it serves as a valuable benchmark and learning experience for designing and developing future local cloud architectures.
